Catriona Scott — Matron of Honor

Catriona Scott Catriona is Nina's best friend from highschool. They met in the seventh grade when Nina transferred to the Sidwell Friends School. Throughout many years of Catriona's travels and living in different countries, they have kept in touch, remained friends, and picked up where they left off, even when a couple of years have gone by without seeing each other. Nina is thrilled that their friendship has lasted throughout many years and many miles, and that Catriona is coming to DC from London to be her Matron of Honor.

Jennifer Santiago — Bridesmaid

Jennifer Santiago Jen is not only Nina's cousin, but also Jeremy's friend since he and Jen were in the fifth grade at Princeton Day School. Nina has always treasured the time she spent with Jen, the equivalent of her big sister, when visiting Princeton or when her cousins visited DC. Nina was incredibly happy when Jen moved to the DC area. Nina and Jeremy are also eternally grateful to Jen because she was responsible for introducing them at her birthday party over tapas at Jaleo in September 2003.

Hien Tran — Bridesmaid

Hien Tran Nina met Hien when she was thirteen years old, soon after Hien first moved to the DC area. For almost fifteen years Nina has looked to Hien for advice on everything from college and law school applications to career and wedding planning. Nina considers Hien to be a surrogate sister she can always count on, and is so happy that Hien is able to share in such a special day.

Keimei Sugiyama — Bridesmaid

Keimei Sugiyama Keimei is the first person Nina met when she arrived at Smith College, and is Nina's best friend from Smith. Nina and her parents arrived with a boatload of supplies to get Nina through her first year of college in 1998, but while other Heads of New Students hesitated to approach the overloaded car, Keimei cheerfully helped Nina move in while making her feel very welcome in the process. As housemates and members of the Smithereens, one of Smith's a cappella groups, they spent an inordinate amount of time together in college. Nina is very happy that they remain friends and that Keimei lives close by.

Benjamin Kuris — Best Man

Ben Kuris Ben is Jeremy's younger brother. Only two years apart, at the same school, on the same sports teams, and sharing many other interests, Jeremy and Ben were often together while growing up. Their interests continue to intersect, as Ben is a computer hardware engineer, and Jeremy is a software engineer. Although Ben is younger, Jeremy considers Ben wiser in many ways, and he can always be counted on to be the voice of reason and to think things through.

Gabriel Kuris — Best Man

Gabe Kuris Gabe is Jeremy's youngest brother. Gabe claims that when they were growing up, he eagerly learned from Jeremy and looked up to him. Now that they are older, their relationship has become one of equal partners. Gabe can always be counted on to encourage Jeremy to stop staring at the monitor, get outside, and socialize. Jeremy also appreciates Gabe's broad world view, which balances his own, more meditative, perspective.

Leo Chan — Groomsman

Leo Chan Leo and Jeremy met on the job during the early days of the dot-com boom. Several companies later, they remain close friends. Many of Jeremy's friends in DC can trace their connections to him through Leo. Jeremy and Leo's shared expertise in computers and problem-solving made them colleagues, but their enthusiasm for computers and happy hours made them close friends.

Michael Torra — Groomsman

Michael Torra Jeremy and Michael don't actually remember meeting each other. But after being at the same happy hours and parties enough times, they realized how much they had in common, and that they had become good friends. Jeremy greatly admires Michael's interest and success in political and artistic endeavors, and finds the latter inspiring him to revive his own interest in studio art.
